Mehmet Ali Yıldız

In his works, he creates performances and processes about human nature and human-nature relationships. Natural materials, natural processes, rituals and modern human relationships take on concepts such as transformation, altars and death through habitats. At the center of the art practice, forms of art production with natural and anthropogenic movements are intertwined. He prepares the art-nature relationship and intervention with the collections, installations and processes in the habitation areas he determines. These movements are metaphors of human ontology of death, transformation and biosocial movements in habitats.

In his works, plants collected from the area, habitat installations, processes and related objects are often used. In many pieces, he also shows scenarios depicting loss. The meaning and symbols within these scenarios draw attention to similar struggles in human history.

He was born in Istanbul in 1994.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Art at Marmara University in 2019.

He is currently studying for a master's degree at the same university's Faculty of Fine Arts,

Department of Painting.

He lives and works in Istanbul.
